The dollar hit its lowest rate against the euro since introduced at $1.39 for every euro. Less money for adsense publishers, affiliate marketers and practically everyone european who makes money on the net. What a joke. We need some Irish and European affiliate networks.

last episode of the sopranos
Last night was the last episode of the greatest TV show ever made, The Sopranos. We watched it live in Satin Dolls nudie bar on route 17 in New Jersey which doubles as the Bada Bing in the program. Loads of TV crews and newspapers there, we got interviewed by Channel 9 news but a […]
Voted today
Voted for the first time in a general election today. I literally made up my mind at the polling station. I generally agree with Fianna Fail and PD objectives so in order of preference I went: Timmy Dooley, Brendan Daly, Tony Killeen (all FF) and Murt Collins (PD). I don’t think I’ll ever vote for […]
google reader stats
Google Reader has a trends page where they show some stats on your blog reading, but the link doesn’t seem to be in the actual reader. Was surprised by my stats, read 2,353 items in the last 30 days! A lot of time wasted? Definately all the Blogorrah items anyway.
rapidshare.com and rapidshare.de. Why?
Why did rapidshare.de clone their site to rapidshare.com? They claim their drives were full, why didn’t they just buy new drives and use them on the German site. The two sites are clearly the same company as they allowed me to get a free .com account using a code from my .de one for a […]
Unblock Bebo
A lot of schools and colleges around Ireland like NUIG have blocked Bebo the social networking site. I’ve seen a few methods used like blocking the Bebo IP, blocking anything with ‘bebo’, ‘proxy’ or ‘unblock bebo’ in the the URL. I set up a unblock bebo proxy that obfuscates the URL that seems to work.
dialup dempsey, broadband and the election
Someone made this site taking the piss of our minister for broadband suppression. I’m still on dialup at home in county clare, broadband of any kind apart from satellite isn’t available. We’re only 3 miles from Ennis as well, the Information Age Town. Not much good resulted from that little project. How did this country […]
threatning messages from a quakeworld player
A guy I know used to play quake and hang out in the IRC channels giving abuse to everyone (a boy dave), this Scottish joke had enough and sent this scary video message. Right click on it and ‘Save Target As’. Or just watch it on YouTube. Lol!
Irish Eyes Poker in Internet cafes
I don’t know if this is common around the country but the local pool hall in Galway recently introduced online poker through IrishEyesPoker. They setup a dozen computers in the corner and you deposit money at the counter you can gamble with and they charge you a set fee. The problem is the username and […]
