Google Reader has a trends page where they show some stats on your blog reading, but the link doesn’t seem to be in the actual reader. Was surprised by my stats, read 2,353 items in the last 30 days! A lot of time wasted? Definately all the Blogorrah items anyway.
lossless audio formats
What’s the point of lossless audio like FLAC, APE and probably more? Can anyone actually hear the difference between a 192kbps MP3 album and a FLAC album? And the FLAC is probably four times the size plus you’ve to download extra codecs and have to convert to another format before you upload to your iPod. Posting albums in this format seems to be the new trend on usenet. Raging.
Another bebo and myspace proxy
I installed another myspace proxy on my Hosting365 linux box which was being used for nothing but downloading rugby.
rapidshare.com and rapidshare.de. Why?
Why did rapidshare.de clone their site to rapidshare.com? They claim their drives were full, why didn’t they just buy new drives and use them on the German site. The two sites are clearly the same company as they allowed me to get a free .com account using a code from my .de one for a limited time and the sites look the same (great proof). But you can’t get an account the other way around. I renewed my .com one a while ago but there’s some files on .de I want to download and it looks like I have to pay twice!
Unblock Bebo
A lot of schools and colleges around Ireland like NUIG have blocked Bebo the social networking site. I’ve seen a few methods used like blocking the Bebo IP, blocking anything with ‘bebo’, ‘proxy’ or ‘unblock bebo’ in the the URL. I set up a unblock bebo proxy that obfuscates the URL that seems to work.

Uploaded a few rugby videos to YouTube
Been uploading rugby videos to Youtube lately including highlights of the Leinster v Agen match including BOD getting sick, tries from England v Australia last summer and Donnacha O’Callaghan trying to play in his jocks against Cardiff on Sunday!
I should have posted this on my blog quicker as prettycunning.net posted my video on his blog and got a link from Donnacha O’Caoimhs PR8 blog. All that lovely pagerank could have been mine. Ah well. Here are all the videos.
And I get all my rugby games on BitTorrent from AussieTorrents, Demonoid and Diwana in case anyone is wondering. BT ports are blocked on my student accomodation connection so I’m renting a server from Hosting365 and running rtorrent from that. rtorrent was fair hard to install. €80 a month and I’m just using it to download rugby, fuck it though, it’s worth it.

Andrea Roche in foul form. Foul form
More stuff stolen off Blogorrah, I love that site. Anyway, it’s an interview of Andrea Roche when she just won Miss Ireland and was going for Miss World and was having a ‘stressful day’. Lols
Bankers version of U2’s One – Cringeworthy
I promised myself I’d stop reguritating videos I found on Digg and Youtube and just add ’em to my del.icio.us but this is just too funny. Bank of America merged with MBNA and at the press conference thing, two staff members dedicated their version of U2’s ‘One’ to the merger. It was meant to be a joke but the way the singer and guitarist take it so seriously… doing that annoying thing where he looks away to the side after each passionate line… ahahaha
webalizer stats after being dugg
I submitted the videos of the ‘chi Martial Arts guy that I stole from boards.ie to Digg in the early morning of Nov 30th and it reached the front page for a short while. It ended up getting about 1,250 diggs and at the start my server couldn’t handle it all, diggmirror couldn’t even get a cache of the page! I made the page static but the server still couldn’t handle it so it was probably a bandwidth issure. Have to get a new server.
Here’s a screenshot of some webalizer stats:
